The goal was drive a tax filing experience powered by TurboTax inside the Credit Karma ecosystem. This was designed to help members get their biggest tax refund quickly while improving their overall financial health. As a design leader on this work, I drove the vision, shaped the product strategy, and led the team to turn the experience into a cohesive, 10‑minute filing experience tailored to CK members who may be slipping backwards and trying to stay afloat. Our work spanned research, interaction and visual design, content, and design systems, and required significant influence across multiple platform teams. Together, we delivered a seamless experience that felt native to Credit Karma, strengthened trust in both brands, and drove meaningful lifts in key metrics, including starts and completed filings.

Theming

Theming was about transforming the TurboTax flow into a cohesive Credit Karma experience. We aligned typography, color, spacing, navigation, and layout across mobile and desktop so the end‑to‑end journey felt native to Credit Karma while still clearly signaling TurboTax for trust. This work created a consistent visual and interaction foundation that made the integration feel seamless rather than like two separate products stitched together.

Onboarding

Tailored to CK members we created this data-first experience uses what we already know about our members to help right-size customers in the appropriate SKU, reduce data input, and expedite Intuit account linking.

Tax Hub

The Tax Hub is a Kanban style interaction paradigm gave customers a sense of place and progress in the filing process. It broke the mould of the linear navigation and allowing customers to traverse through their filing more openly.
