Overview
I'm a design executive who cares as much about craft and quality as about org and strategy. I believe products are strong when they're simple, not ornamental, and I've built design systems and shipped experiences at Intuit, BMO, and 500px that reflect that bar. I'm a tinkerer who still builds, and my primary leverage is through teams and systems. I stay close to the work. I've led design for billion-dollar portfolios in complex domains and scale across altitudes when it matters, from org and roadmap to hands-on design.

Philosophy
Make the abstract concrete
Turning ambiguity into actionable strategy, and bringing that strategy to life by shipping to customers.
Direction over speed
Go slow, to go fast. It doesn’t matter how fast you are going if you’re headed the wrong way.
Creativity through constraints
I accept that constraints exist, and see them as enablement to possibilities, instead of a barrier.
Focus on impact
Prioritizing the work that delivers the most value for customers, teams, and the business.
Stay in the details
Stay close enough to the work to ask the right questions, unblock the right problems, and earn the trust of their teams.
Care deeply, expect more
Genuinely invested in the people on my team, so I hold a high bar, and push them to do their best work.
Beyond
Senior design leaders joined us in Toronto for a forward-looking conversation on shaping the future of financial services through thoughtful, human-centred experiences.
Introduced the idea of craft amplifiers: the soft skills and adjacent hard skills that take design work beyond the pixel and into real business impact. These foundations are more important than ever in the age of generative AI.
BPTN - World-Class User Experiences (UX): Inclusive by Design
Joined a roundtable with design leaders on how diversity actually shows up (or doesn't) in product work. The real challenges, and ways to make inclusion part of the process, not a checkbox.
Was featured in The Globe and Mail offering career and resume advice to a design grad with a disability looking to break into UX at a tech company.
Design X - Scaling Design Impact
Panelist talk about what it actually looks like to scale Design Thinking inside a large org and how to apply it to the smaller, everyday problems too.
